Pirkka “Finn” Penttinen is a Partner in Fortium Partners’ East Region, where he serves manufacturing and industrial services clients.  He presents a global business perspective and technology experience at each engagement along with credentials in implementing and managing strategic transformation and complex program/change management initiatives.  Finn’s savvy leadership style and deep IT knowledge help take an organization to the next level, where new capabilities, services and operations are a competitive advantage.   Working across Europe, Australia, and the Americas throughout his career, Finn has developed an acute understanding of diverse cultures which is underscored by exposure to complex, global enterprises, and economies.

As CIO, Finn has worked closely with all corporate functions to deliver IT solutions that accelerated performance and enhanced their ability to navigate industry change.  In partnership with his peers, he successfully led technology harmonization projects impacting the areas of the finance, sales, supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, human resources, and shared services.   Finn has directed and managed all parts of the IT function including wall-to-wall global SAP/ERPs, CRMs, engineering applications, large volume master data services, infrastructure, cybersecurity, digitalization, portfolio management, and governance.   He has managed teams with more than 300 professionals and budgets exceeding US$100 million.

Finn graduated with a Master of Business Administration from the University of Oregon and a Master of Science from the University of Tampere, Finland.  He now resides permanently in the USA and is fully authorized to work also in the European Union countries.
