Jerry is a Partner in Fortium Partners’ Southeast Region, where he serves asset management, capital markets, securities trading, and financial services firms.  His deep understanding of cybersecurity threats and practical knowledge of IT operations reflect his thirty years of management experience. He swiftly addresses emerging threats, regulatory changes and advancing technology to establish an operating platform ready to scale with the needs of the business. While working in a heavily regulated industry, Jerry was responsible for technology compliance functions including a minimum of 70 different IT audits each year.  Of note, he developed a world-class technology risk management program that met both compliance and user experience requirements.

With significant experience designing and implementing cybersecurity programs, Jerry offers his clients valuable insights and tactics to detect, protect and defend data. He has achieved success by motivating IT professionals and by leveraging the use of automation, artificial intelligence, and behavioral analytics. He believes the best technology solutions involve a collaborative, strategic partnership between IT professionals and business unit leaders. At a global asset management firm, Jerry achieved zero major cyber incidents for nineteen consecutive years. The results reflect his risk-based approach to assessing threats, investing in best practices, and installing an appropriate level of governance. Jerry’s knowledge of global data centers, business continuity, disaster recovery, and operations anchor his perspective on combatting cyber-attacks.  He believes companies of all sizes – small, medium, large – need to develop acute awareness and robust education programs as a key component of their cybersecurity plan.

Jerry attended the New York Institute of Technology and currently serves the University of South Florida as Adjunct Faculty Chair for the Cybersecurity for Executives certificate program.  In 2016, he was invited to participate in a private secure round table advisory session for President Obama, the Secretary of the Department of Labor, high-ranking officials of the National Security Agency and select counselors to the President.
