Stephen joined Fortium Partners with a distinct ability to modernize core enterprise systems and enhance business processes to achieve profitable growth.  He has deep experience leading digital transformation, navigating industry change, and handling divestitures and post-M&A integration.  Stephen focuses on problem-solving, team building, and collaboration as he works with colleagues to strengthen operations and develop new products.  He understands the evolution of consumer demands and helps companies stay ahead of the competition.  He believes that technology organizations must constantly innovate and adapt without compromising quality or efficiency.  His client service mission is to enhance the client’s market capabilities and create positive outcomes.

As a Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Stephen provided visionary leadership by developing IT strategy, building enterprise solutions, and coaching global technology teams.  He focuses on increasing margins and profits while enhancing the customer experience.  His inherent ability to navigate change powered a successful digital transformation amidst dramatic industry change.  As a senior executive, Stephen focused on deploying technology to exploit new business opportunities.  He works to advance systems to achieve greater flexibility, efficiency, scale, and reliability.  He has succeeded in public and private partnerships and PE-backed portfolio companies throughout his career.  He is a National Association of Corporate Directors member and a participant in the NACD Accelerate program, which prepares next-generation leaders for boardroom service.  He serves as an Advisory Board Member for Digital Grain Elevator, an ag-tech start-up. 

Stephen graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University, where he continues to be involved as an alumni coach and mentor.  Active in his community, Stephen volunteers with the Fisher House Foundation, which builds comfort homes where military & veteran families can stay free of charge while a loved one is in the hospital.  Outside the office, he enjoys the performing arts, contributing to the Chicago Botanic Gardens, cooking, and traveling with family.
