Sherry Garvin is a Partner in Fortium Partners’ Southwest Region, where she serves financial services, fintech, nonprofit and government clients.  She brings more than thirty years of technology, operations and risk knowledge to each engagement.  Her leadership experience in a highly regulated, compliance-oriented environment benefits organizations looking to build or enhance security, processes and controls.

As a CIO, Sherry had oversight of all IT operations including information security, business continuity, application development, data management services, network and end user computing “last mile” services.  She served on the risk management and insider risk program leadership group.  In addition, she was involved in development of technology standards and business resiliency strategy and policies to strengthen institutional sustainability.

At the Bank, Sherry developed the organizational strategy and tactical plans required to deliver new business solutions.  She worked with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders across the System and led a cross-functional team to offer software security processes integrated with the System’s System Development Life Cycle program.

Sherry graduated from the Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Master of Business Administration.  She completed the Advanced Management Program Certificate at Harvard Business School.  Sherry continued to pursue post-graduate studies in nonprofit governance and project and program management.
