Ryan Hummel joined Fortium Partners with global IT leadership experience in environments marked by growth, innovation, and profitability.  For more than 20 years, he has built the IT systems and infrastructure to power digital payments and e-commerce solutions for global industries such as hospitality and retail.  His keen ability to link business strategy, culture, and technology performance to set the foundation for enterprise growth and customer service excellence.  Ryan has spent his career guiding business transformation through continuous process improvement, a focus on data analysis, and savvy project management.  He has led IT teams through multiple mergers while ensuring smooth launch of new products, minimization of global security risks, and achievement of GDPR and PCI certifications.  Ryan is a respected leader in highly-matrixed environments and effective collaborator on complex corporate initiatives.

As CIO for a fintech firm, Ryan was responsible for the global technology and security needs of a $2 billion payments organization.  He led a team of more than 110 engineers in 12 countries managing platforms that processed over 2 billion transactions annually. Ryan successfully guided IT operations, compliance and security strategy in a high growth environment fueled by mergers and acquisitions and effectively led the resultant IT integration activity.  He is laser focused on creating a nimble, cost effective, and lean entity which delivers an outstanding customer experience.  His experience includes cloud transformations, SaaS, secure software development life cycle, and product development.

Ryan graduated summa cum laude from Columbia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Information Technology.  He graduated magna cum laude with an Executive MBA from Drexel University, where he participated in a residency in Hanoi and Saigon, Vietnam, and he serves as a board member of the EMBA Alumni Association.  His additional credentials include Project Management Professional (PMP). Ryan’s commitment to the community includes coaching youth baseball and leadership service as co-chair of The Volunteer Center of South Jersey.
