Richard Harris served as Chief Information Officer for SFN Group, Inc. (SFN), a $2 billion North American staffing company and one of the top five staffing companies in the country in most major employment categories. Richard led the firm's IT organization of more than 100 individuals with an annual budget ranging from $25mm to $35mm prior to the company’s merger with Randstad Holding n.v. Under Harris' direction, the IT organization served over 400 locations across the US and Canada for SFN, a leading member of the staffing industry in social media endeavors and mobile recruiting. Richard continued on to play a key role as a part of the integration management team responsible for merging Randstad and SFN into the resulting top three North American staffing company by revenue in most employment categories.
Previously, Mr. Harris was the CIO of Hudson Highland Group, Inc. Hudson is a global staffing, retained executive search and talent management company. Richard was responsible for the corporation’s worldwide IT strategy and implementation. During his tenure, Richard was responsible for integrating more than 50 acquisitions worldwide. Prior to Hudson, Richard was the CIO of Spring Group, PLC, a London-based global human capital management company. Richard was responsible for all aspects of the corporation’s IT operations and strategy and was a member of the Spring Management Board. Richard has also held CIO positions at TRS Staffing Services (Interim CIO) in Salem, NH (a business unit of Fluor Corporation), and TAC Worldwide in Newton, MA. Richard started his career in the finance industry, with ten years at Bank of Boston and Fidelity Investments, where he served as Director of Information Technology.
