Mohit joined Fortum Partners as a skilled change agent with a unique blend of business, technical, and financial acumen. With more than twenty-five years in consulting roles as well as experience as a CIO and a CTO, he offers a strategic counsel matched by an ability to execute.  He specializes in providing advice to C-level executives on the strategic use of IT for competitive advantage. Mohit collaborates closely with his executive peers and key stakeholders to embrace innovative, yet pragmatic technology solutions to address complex problems and achieve measurable business results.  He routinely discovers and executes on opportunities to embrace digital technologies that improve operating processes, promote growth, and spur the launch of new processes and products. He has achieved notable success in public and private companies, nonprofits, and private equity environments. Mohit’s experience spans diverse industries including insurance, banking, publishing, health care, and consumer goods.

As a CTO, Mohit operated at the intersection of business and IT.  He communicated complex technology issues in business terms and vice versa to achieve lasting consensus and to pursue high-impact solutions.  As a CIO, Mohit led budgeting to prioritize investment, integrate disparate systems, and introduce new tools including data analytics and content management.  He also developed comprehensive roadmaps, introduced corporate governance standards, ran RFPs and vendor selection for CRM and ERP systems, and led cost optimization programs. 

As a consultant, Mohit has executed multiple interim CIO engagements.  He advised companies ranging from nonprofits to middle market and Fortune 500 to private equity on business and IT alignment, systems implementation, and operational excellence.  He also counseled on mergers and acquisitions, technology adoption, call centers, data center migration, IT talent acquisition, and mobility strategies.  His viewpoint is a balanced blend of both consulting and corporate experiences.  Mohit has built and managed high performing teams to achieve seamless operations on a global basis.

Mohit earned a Bachelor of Engineering with a major in industrial engineering from Jadavpur University in Kolkata, India.  He continued his studies and earned a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Business Administration from Haas School of Business University of California, Berkeley.  He holds a certificate in Managing Technology Professionals from MIT's Sloan School of Management. Mohit enjoys culinary arts, live shows, and travel.
