Mike Osment is a Partner in Fortium Partner’s Midwest region where he primarily serves automotive, manufacturing, distribution, real estate, and retail companies.  He is well regarded as an innovator specializing in digital transformation and the exploitation of emerging technologies. His expertise includes all technology aspects of merger and acquisition activities, large program and project management, organizational change, back office shared services and outsourcing for both IT and business processes.  

As a management consultant, Mike successfully led teams to deliver complex engagements involving M&A such as carve-outs, post-merger integration and the startup of newly formed companies from collections of acquired assets.  In addition, he led projects to perform operational turnarounds of struggling companies, drove company transformations and delivered significant performance improvements enabled by technology.  His client base ranged from private equity firms to industrial companies, from a real estate group emerging from bankruptcy to a struggling e-commerce retailer. He developed a robust focus on streamlining the IT organization, cost optimization, and strategies to address digital disruption and industry evolution.  Mike displays savvy, seasoned leadership.  His practical approach is anchored with a strong vision for process improvement and an ability to move with a sense of urgency.

Asa CIO, Mike shifted with ease between the roles of technologist and business innovator.  On several occasions, he has moved theIT organization from an internal facing department to an external focused team contributing to revenue generation.  His strategic aptitude has been a crucial element of many product development initiatives that use emerging technologies to create new value streams for a company.  Mike also introduced new business intelligence tools to speed assessment and analysis in support of profitable growth. 

Mike graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and later attended its Ross School of Business where he earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Computer Information Systems. He speaks frequently at industry conferences and has been recognized for his IT leadership.
