Michael blends engineering experience, product design, and commercialization expertise as he crafts technology strategy. His roadmaps enable B2B companies to drive toward their vision and scale the business. He has launched more than twenty products, delivered multiple technology platforms, and raised funds from investors. He has guided the launch of predictive analytics, hardware & embedded remote sensing products as well as numerous customer-facing web and mobile applications at category creating technology businesses. His commitment to climate tech and energy reform has led him to pursue projects in the renewable, waste, and water sectors.

Across his career, Michael has played several roles – founder, technology executive, and CEO.  As a CTO, he has crafted the technology vision and project plans to launch and commercialize two new, green businesses.  His developed relationships with key stakeholders as he addressed investment, supply chain, carbon market, and policy factors.  Michael has built and led operations teams, DevOps, and senior developers.  His engineering acumen has proven valuable in working with emerging technology including blockchain.  He has architected the enterprise software stack, improved performance of legacy systems, and optimized the quality assurance process for global firms.  Michael has leadership experience gained launching products in the US, Canada, and Australia. 

Michael graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.  Outside the office, Michael enjoys hiking and horticulture. He serves on the advisory board of Raiz Farms and Dunya Habitats – both of which being mission-based agritech companies providing sustainable food production to mitigate climate change’s impact on and water scarcity, crop productivity and food security.
