Mark Chaffin is a Partner in Fortium Partners’ Southeast practice where he serves consumer products, marketing services, manufacturing, and financial services industries.  He provides insight and knowledge on business intelligence and how to incorporate it in strategic growth.  His credentials include leading technology diligence and integration efforts for over 70 acquisitions.  Mark’s clients rely on his valuable experience in the IT strategy, business process improvement, technology commercialization, and data warehousing.

As a Chief Information Officer, Mark accomplished significant projects in the areas of business process and robotic process automation.  He led the design and deployment of a global system for digital and content management, the launch of an enterprise data strategy and build and release of a worldwide work management system.  While working in IT leadership roles, Mark also implemented a corporate project management office, a cybersecurity strategy, and a rigorous capital budget and management process for technology spending.  Also, he has structured IT resources to support global operations reaching to 100 offices and 30,000 employees.  As the founder of a technology consultancy, Mark and his team of 40 senior staff delivered business intelligence and applications development to sophisticated clients in manufacturing, financial services, logistics, and high-tech arenas.  He brings an excellent combination of technical expertise and business perspective to each engagement.

Mark graduated from Jacksonville University.  He is the author of a best-selling technical book, Professional SQL Server 2000 DTS (Data Transformation Service), and numerous thought leadership publications.
