Magnus joined Fortium Partners with CIO experience across diverse industries including telecom, energy, manufacturing, waste, distribution, and finance. He bridges strategy and execution as he drives global initiatives to increase market share, reduce costs, and improve processes. Magnus has extensive international experience in Europe, the Americas, and Asia with deep knowledge of culture differences while contributing to the success of large multinational and start-up companies. His expertise is alignment of technology tools and teams with corporate business objectives and he is particularly comfortable operating in mid-size to large organizations undergoing dramatic change. Magnus has a proven ability to achieve results amidst challenging economic conditions, during pre- and post-acquisition periods, and in regulated industries. He relies on his deep skills in analysis, evaluation, and negotiation as he successfully leads teams on complex implementation projects.

As a CIO, Magnus set the IT strategy and vision for global enterprises in B2C and B2B settings.  He led complex projects and transformation initiatives that resulted in an improved customer experience, sales growth, and reduced costs.  Magnus has established IT governance and policy, implemented CRM and ERP systems, and negotiated major outsourcing contracts. In each CIO role, he has recruited, trained, and mentored technology teams to be effective business partners and contributors to organizational change including acquisition.  Reflecting experience as a Big Four consultant, his practice focuses on building effective organizations through IT strategy, innovation, financial management, and talent development.   Active in IT peer networks, Magnus has been a contributing member of advisory boards at Verizon, Dell, and Southern Methodist University.  

A global citizen, Magnus is fluent in Swedish and English and conversant in Norwegian, Danish, and German. He was a member of the Swedish Olympic biathlon team and continues to enjoy skiing as well as golf.
