Karen is a Partner in Fortium Partners’ Midwest Region, where she serves lifestyle, hospitality, consumer products, and financial services companies.  She is an accomplished technology executive with a strong portfolio of success when managing people, process and innovation.  She seeks ways to optimize technical functions in order to advance and accelerate business growth while delivering outstanding customer experience.  Her systems knowledge is wide and deep, which results in a well-rounded perspective and exceptional insights on significant technology investments.  To achieve organizational goals, Karen has led technology teams through digital transformation, regulatory and compliance matters, M&A integration, cybersecurity, and ERP implementation projects.  She has a strong commitment to developing next-generation IT leaders and selecting business partners that model collaboration.

With proven experience setting IT vision and strategy, Karen advises her clients on establishing a cost-effective approach and achievable project plan.  She has garnered success in working with local and global teams to launch SaaS solutions, websites, and intranets.  Her experience also includes complex projects to support market expansion including point of sale, PCI compliance, online reservations, payment processing, and customer relationship management systems.  Thriving in a high-growth environment, Karen has contributed to improved profitability by renegotiating vendor contracts, standardizing processes, introducing predictive analytics and speeding order processing.  She forges a close relationship with her clients and their business partners as they work together to identify and implement solutions using best-in-class applications for e-commerce.  

Karen graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Psychology from the University of South Florida.  She is currently pursuing a Masters in Data Science from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire.  Karen has completed advanced coursework at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and the Cranfield School of Management in the UK.
