Jonathan Azoff is a Partner in Fortium Partners’ West region, where he advises investors and entrepreneurs involved in early-stage, profit-oriented platforms. An accomplished technology leader, engineering manager, and software expert, Jonathan is committed to helping founders improve their key performance indicators through experienced planning and execution. He knows what entrepreneurs and investors need to be successful and how good decisions drive profitable growth. Working with the clients of Fortium Partners, Jonathan capitalizes on his 20 years of experience building teams and products for rapid-growth businesses and leverages his career spent working in diverse sectors including financial services, logistics, real estate, fitness, gaming, and social.

As an engineering and software development leader, Jonathan built teams and managed initiatives to propel growth at both start-ups and sophisticated unicorn companies.  He has recruited, trained, and developed professionals to tackle complex business problems through innovation and systems-based thinking.  Always considering avenues to accelerate growth, he sees software as an enabling function of the business as he analyzes vendor selection through a build vs. buy lens. Jonathan sets a high bar for improved processes that result in practical applications that yield great products.  His ability to pose challenging questions that lead to solutions is matched by a broad and deep knowledge of technology.  As a consultant, he works closely with companies moving through early-stage funding rounds.  Jonathan knows what founders need to be successful - good decisions early on - and he speaks their language.

In 2021, he started SNØCAP, a climate tech fund backing platforms that underpin innovation in food, waste, ag, and infrastructure. The venture capital fund believes complex problems require systemic solutions. As General Partner, Jonathan shares his knowledge of climate tech landscape, investing, and policy as he works with entrepreneurs to prototype and scale their innovation.

Jonathan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University. A certified Scrum Master, he also holds certificates in Android and iOS Development. He speaks a bit of French, Hebrew, and Spanish, and enjoys the outdoors, raising his two young children, and playing basketball. He is also the inventor of Goat-2-Meeting, a virtual experience which has brightened team meetings, family gatherings, and events around the world while raising funds for Sweet Farm, a sustainability non-profit.
