Problem-solving CIO drives operational efficiencies that boost value for manufacturers and home builders
John Jordan is a partner in the Atlanta office of Fortium Partners. He brings more than 25 years of award-winning technology leadership experience, delivering quantifiable results for some of the most reputable real estate construction and manufacturing firms in the U.S. Prior to joining Fortium, Jordan was an independent consultant serving as a senior IT consultant for a $400 million national plastics manufacturer with 20 U.S. plants. There, Jordan implemented RF scan technology that eliminated the need for multiple daily inventory counts and saved significant warehouse labor costs. He also implemented Oracle’s JD Edwards 9.1 to bring efficiencies to orders-to-ship and procure-to-pay, reduced IT re-work and implementation errors by 25% and improved the business continuity plan with a 90% improvement in disaster recovery response time. Jordan also served more than a decade as CIO of $850 million production homebuilder Avatar Properties, where he streamlined business processes across three regions, saving $210,000 annually. He added $2 million to the bottom line through the reorganization of 15 regional sales offices, saved $450,000 of the IT budget by implementing a cloud environment and implemented a web-based marketing automation solution that helped grow annual revenue by $24 million. Jordan has also held IT management positions at Oakwood Homes Corporation, Thompson Medical Co., and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
