Fred Weisenbacher is a Partner in Fortium Partners’ East region, where he primarily serves pharmaceutical, consumer products, and biotech companies.  He has an extensive understanding of IT applications and operations gained from his senior leadership roles leading infrastructure planning, application implementations, and project management functions. He capitalizes on adoption of standards, policies, procedures, and governance to create efficiency and reduce costs.  His global experience includes living and working for more than a decade in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.  

As a CIO, Fred has built strategic relationships with business unit executives, vendors, and consulting teams. He embraces an entrepreneurial approach to driving business transformation and capitalizes on his affinity for planning and analysis as he leads large scale implementations and changes corporate culture. His responsibilities have included supporting regulatory requirements including data privacy, financial and FDA guidelines. He has delivered cloud migrations, native cloud apps, strengthened cyber security, outsourced an IT service center, and launched innovation projects. Fred has a gift for process reengineering and development of tactical improvement plans. His executive leadership style is marked by a commitment to collaboration, working across departments, and geographic borders.

Fred graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kean University and a Master of Arts in Technology Management from Stevens Institute of Technology.  He served in the US Marine Corps.  Fred is certified in Service Management Essentials by the information Technology Information Library (ITIL).
