Dennis Hernandez is a Partner in Fortium Partners’ South Central region, where he drives technology-enabled transformation to improve profitability and optimize processes.  A business-oriented IT executive, he skillfully manages multi-million dollar contracts to ensure service quality and value.  His capabilities include negotiation, implementation, and management of complex relationships and systems with partners such as SAP, IBM, Salesforce, Workday, Infosys, and TCS.  Dennis is recognized as an accomplished people leader who focuses on collaboration, simplification, customer service, and cost transparency.  Working with the clients of Fortium Partners, Dennis leverages 30 years of experience guiding multiple technology M&A projects, creating digital new digital capabilities through cloud and mobile technologies, and implementing Agile and DevOps organizations.

As an IT leader, Dennis has global experience leading digital transformation initiatives.  He has been involved in multiple M&A deals where he is called upon to assess technology capabilities and organizational dimensions.  Working to align IT and business strategy, Dennis has developed subject matter expertise on acquisitions, divestitures, budgets, and operational strategy as well as IT governance, technology selection, and application development.  He has driven development of IT roadmaps, managed complex projects, and headed efforts to measure and improve financial and operational performance of the IT organization.  Dennis has a deep understanding of global food industry based upon his work with multinational companies in the food and beverage, consumer packaged products, grocery retail, and distribution sectors.

As a consultant, Dennis built a practice focused on enterprise transformation.  He advised clients on cost reduction, process efficiency, business process reengineering.  He also designed shared services organizations, evaluated software solutions, managed implementations, and developed IT strategies for financial services firms, telecommunications companies, and government.

Dennis graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Master of Business Administration in Management Information Systems and Finance.  Fluent in English and Spanish, he is an avid reader, a fan of tennis, and an amateur chef.
