Dean presents a broad perspective on building high performing technology operations, along with modernizing technology platforms and deep experience in cybersecurity. Dean leverages his solid knowledge of software engineering as he streamlines technology platforms and directs the migration of legacy systems to the cloud. Creating equilibrium between technology operations, cybersecurity and cloud strategy has enabled Dean to improve automation and integrate AI-driven models. His open and caring leadership style reflects his passion for mentoring next gen IT leaders. His forte is advising CIOs and CEOs on how to maximize and justify the value of IT operations.
As a proven CTO, CISO, and CIO, Dean balances strategy with execution to achieve results and sustainability. In varied leadership roles, he has optimized technology platforms, driven cost efficiency, and designed digital transformation initiatives. His innate ability to assess, mitigate, and manage risk situations is complemented by his expertise in cybersecurity. Dean partners with business unit leadership to maximize ROI as he creates Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models that optimize hybrid infrastructure. He is recognized for his ability to manage global operations, engage offshore vendors, and build multi-cultural teams. Of note, Dean played an integral role in building Deloitte India’s IT operation from scratch to a world class infrastructure platform for the Big Four firm.
Dean graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Hartford. He continued his professional development while earning a Certified Cloud Practitioner, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) credentials. Recognized as a thought leadership, Dean is a frequent speaker at industry conferences on AI, cloud strategy, and cybersecurity, among many topics. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Customer Experience Certificate program at Valparaiso University. Away from the desk, Dean can be found at the baseball stadium watching his son play college baseball.
