Senior IT and Software Development Leader for Mission Critical Industries
David DiLeo is a Partner in Fortium Partners’ East region, where he brings IT leadership and software development experience to drive business transformation. His project management knowledge has been applied to process re-engineering initiatives that enable companies to optimize IT costs, meet compliance requirements, and pursue innovation. David focuses on scalability, reliability, and risk as he partners with business unit leaders on new operating models, data analytics and insights that create margin expansion and increase revenue. He delivers results by deploying the latest technology with attention to business outcomes, quality assurance, and cybersecurity. His career experience includes more than twenty years working at global industrial and financial services firms. David is a recognized thought leader in building IoT, SaaS, and digital capabilities for mission critical, high cost of failure enterprises.
As a CIO, David championed innovation initiatives designed to broaden digital capabilities to enable new business models, increase revenue, reduce costs, and increase process efficiency. His vision for a strategic, flexible IT organization significantly increased effectiveness as he focused on the people, process, and technology necessary to support profitable growth. He led the post-acquisition integration of IT resources, vendor management and an outsourcing program that created a solid infrastructure and built a diverse team with capabilities in ERP implementation, application development, and safety analytics. In addition, he established global cybersecurity programs to reduce risk, managed business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and ensured compliance with ISO27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI, and SOX requirements.
As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), David has implemented portfolio management and governance processes to support a range of projects. He utilizes best-in-class delivery and development methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid. While serving as IT Group Manager at Pratt & Whitney, a subsidiary of Raytheon Technologies, he received certification in Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE), the operating system of Raytheon Technologies and its divisions. ACE ensures best-in-class quality in products and services with a focus on increasing efficiency and reducing waste.
David graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Central Connecticut State University and continued his education as he earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hartford. In 2017, he was honored as a Pittsburgh CIO of the Year. David enjoys songwriting and recording music in his home recording studio, spending quality time with his family, and all things health and fitness.
