Curtis Matthes joined Fortium Partners in 2014 with more than 20 years of IT leadership experience to leverage his strategic perspective and operational prowess to help transform business.  Serving as a permanent or interim CIO for multiple organizations, Curtis has demonstrated a commitment to innovation and profitable growth.  He is recognized for an ability to build a high-performing team and to enhance the corporate culture. His work for public, private, private-equity owned and government organizations includes enterprise software selection, formation of technology strategy, and complex program management.  Time after time, he has substantially improved efficiencies by eliminating technology barriers and a keen focus on the human side of IT.

As a Fortium Partner, Curtis has served as CIO for several healthcare providers and HMO organizations ranging from regional medical centers to specialty surgical hospitals. He has successfully driven the turnaround of IT delivery through organizational realignment, operational process improvements, and cultural development. His practice focuses on business transformation, systems implementation, and enterprise software selection engagements.

As a technology executive, Curtis planted deep roots in healthcare sector then gained diverse experience across a range of industries. Recognized as a skilled leader of complex and turnaround projects, he has consulted on strategy development, performed gap assessments, and implemented e-commerce projects. He is comfortable navigating the complex requirements of government contracts at the state and federal level.

Curtis graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from DeVry University and later earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma.  He has achieved ITIL V3 Foundations certification. His community service and volunteer commitments have included Boy Scouts of America, Goodwill Industries, HIMSS’s Oklahoma chapter, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), and Reynolds Foundation Governor's Cup annual business competition.
