Mark joined Fortium Partners with an ability to leverage technology to resolve operational challenges involving employees, customers, networks, and business partners.  He brings a realistic and pragmatic approach to managing complex IT resources, budgets, and teams.  Mark has proven leadership capabilities developed during times of business reorganization, economic crisis, and industry change.  His innate change agility has flourished while working in the distribution, retail, hospitality, transportation, and supply chain sectors.  Reflecting an innovative spirit matched by practice, Mark has a keen ability to move new applications from proof of concept through to implementation.

As a CTO and CIO, Mark has championed digital transformation through launch of ecommerce solutions and mobile applications designed to improve the consumer experience.  He has also worked to strengthen and speed the supply chain through completion of ERP and 3PL projects.  Working in public, private, and private equity backed enterprises, Mark has remained focused on improving profitability through a solid IT infrastructure complemented by business intelligence.  He has a commitment to create a strong network, streamline processes, automate routine tasks, and identify cost efficiencies.  Collaborating with his executive colleagues to reach employees at up to one thousand retail sites, he deploys systems to enhance corporate communications while improving productivity.  His broad and deep knowledge of IT strategy, infrastructure, and operations allows Mark to coach and mentor technology teams especially amidst stressful environments.

Mark graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems.  He continued his education with professional development courses at Texas Christian University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of Minnesota.  Mark is an active member of the Society of Information Management (SIM) with service in regional and national leadership roles, International Food & Beverage Technology Association, Southlake Executive Forum, and other business forums.  Away from the office, he enjoys golf, gardening, and college football and basketball.
