Bassam Fawaz is a Partner in Fortium Partners’ West Region. A senior IT executive with broad international and business operations experience, he has served as CIO for international organizations with revenues of up to $6.8B in in the logistics, professional services, consumer goods, aerospace, and manufacturing industries, and held various IT and business operations responsibilities including heading worldwide operations for one of the world’s largest makers of premium products. He is a performance turnaround specialist with proven skills in Business System Integration & Optimization, strategic planning and execution, and resource management. As CIO, he has presided over global systems implementations, acquisitions integration, transformative initiatives, and building multi-national teams on four continents.
As thought leader on IT and business operations issues, Bassam has been a speaker and panelist at industry conferences in the US and Europe, and was recognized by InformationWeek magazine as one of the top 500 IT innovators. He is actively involved in furthering the IT profession and serves on the board of the Southern California chapter of the Society for Information Management.
He has held senior executive positions at Swiss-based Agility Global Integrated Logistics, EMAK Worldwide, B/E Aerospace, AAR Corp, and most recently at PAAMCO, an institutional investment firm based in Irvine, California.

Bassam graduated from Arizona State University with a BS degree in Aeronautical Technology, from Western International University with an MBA, and has attended various continuing education programs including the Gartner CIO Academy at the University of Oxford Saïd School of Business.
