Area Managing Partner - Orange County/Western U.S.
The Area Managing Partner (AMP) is responsible for the overall leadership, growth, and prosperity of the partners and the firm within the region which currently includes the major metropolitan areas of California, Oregon and Washington. A successful AMP will 1) recruit and maintain between 20 and 30 of the most highly-qualified technology leadership resources the region has to offer, and network with prospects and other client service providers to build the brand and locate and close high-value engagements to reach and maintain a targeted level of income for the region and its partners. While the AMP is specifically responsible for the strength of the firm’s brand within the region, the AMP is unrestricted in selling to clients outside the defined region and/or engaging Fortium Partners from other regions where specific skills and availability align to the needs of the client. The Area Managing Partner at Fortium is an equity-holding position. Qualified candidates must be prepared to contribute a percentage of their earned income toward ownership in the firm. AMP compensation is based on collected revenue and adherence to local budget. Each qualified candidate will undergo a series of interviews followed by a background investigation by an outside party.
Relocation is not provided. The Area Managing Partner must live in and have a considerable network of professional contacts in the Western U.S. and primarily in Los Angeles and Orange County.
Desired Skills and Experience
A qualified candidate for AMP will possess twenty or more years of relevant experience in a proven, successful career that includes a combination of executive leadership of a team of 20 or more senior-level resources in a technology and/or consulting setting, networking/selling into C-level executives and counterparts in emerging mid-market, VC or PE-backed, and Fortune 1000 companies, and recruiting top technology talent. Previous experience in a partnership firm is desirable.

Fortium Partners are “full-time”, with much of their non-billable time spent working collegially with other partners to build the firm’s brand in the local market.
