Fortium Partners Adds Fortune 50 Technology Leader Michael Hunsche to Growing Team of Top CIOs

Dallas, TX – August 30, 2016 – FORTIUM PARTNERS, the world’s fastest-growing provider of technology leadership services, today announced that Fortune 50 executive Michael Hunsche, an established technology leader with more than 25 years of experience providing bold technology solutions to businesses in 11 industries, has joined the Los Angeles practice. He has held a number of strategic roles in businesses like The Walt Disney Company, Arbonne International, KinderCare Learning Centers and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

Prior to joining Fortium, Hunsche served as the CTO of Freedom Communications, a privately held media and entertainment company of print and interactive businesses where he owned content delivery of 240 web properties and over 100 mobile products. As the SVP and CTO of Autobytel, a publicly traded automotive marketing services company that served millions of consumers in conducting research on vehicles with annual revenues in excess of $84 million, he resolved performance issues and fixed infrastructure design problems. Previously, Hunsche was CIO at Arbonne International, a privately held network marketing company that more than quadrupled revenues in his tenure to over $900 million. At KinderCare, he led a team of 55 in providing technology support to 1,300 early childhood learning centers across 39 states. Hunsche also managed strategic sourcing and IT purchasing functions for The Walt Disney Company, where he led a staff of 20 to maximizing ROI from an $800 million IT budget, and supported other Disney segments like ABC, ESPN and Walt Disney Studios. Hunsche has held key technology leadership positions at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Darden Restaurants, among others.

“Technology leaders who have deep experience with multiple industries can interpret the nuances of certain trends that are industry-agnostic, such as global expansion, global resource development and the rise of cloud-based platforms. Mike is leading the charge to help business leaders make smart decisions about rapidly changing infrastructures and technology best practices to spur rapid adaptation,” said Tim McCracken, Fortium Chairman and CEO. “Fortium Partners is on the front lines of this incredible shift in how technology is used to support business growth, and our large corp, industry-diverse CIOs bring the know-how to help any business keep up.”
“Almost every business I have served talks about similar issues today: global reach, global resources and lower costs. Everyone is rushing to the cloud or to outsourcing because it’s affordable or everyone else is doing it, but business leaders have to recognize that the most popular technology solutions are not universally good,” said Hunsche. “My partners at Fortium understand that. We’re not limited by the repetitive processes and procedures that consulting firms use, so we can assess each individual business and guide leaders on how to use technology to build a lasting, more profitable business.”

Hunsche holds a bachelor of science in Applied Science from Purdue University.
