Fortium Partners Brings on Top 100 CIO and Former MoneyGram Executive

Dallas, TX March 14, 2016 – FORTIUM PARTNERS, the world’s fastest-growing provider of IT turnaround and leadership services, announced today that two-time Top 100 CIO award winner Wayne Glaus has joined the Southern California practice of Fortium Partners. Glaus brings more than 25 years of technology leadership experience in retail and financial services, where he led large scale enterprise initiatives for global companies like MoneyGram and Target.

Glaus was vice president of IT for MoneyGram International, where he developed and executed a powerful IT strategy that supported a rapidly growing global business, with leadership over application development, data services, quality services, enterprise architecture and enterprise project management office. During his tenure with MoneyGram, Glaus won CIO magazine’s Top 100 award - twice. He has also held CIO roles with other global financial services providers, including Sigue Corporation and Deluxe Corporation. Before MoneyGram, Glaus was director of store systems for retail ERP provider Retek Inc., where he was responsible for developing a new stores systems product to global retailers like Nordstrom, Best Buy, A&P and Sainsbury’s. He also created Retek’s revenue-generating Customs Solutions business, which brought in $25 million annually. Before Retek, Glaus was group manager of distribution systems for Target Stores, where he supported four enterprise functions – marketing, stores, financial, distribution – and spearheaded a $40 million program to replace an existing distribution center supply chain application.

“There is a lot of talk among CIOs about running IT like a business, but few have actually succeeded at it on a global scale. Our partners are in the elite, tight-knit community of technology leaders who have changed the way the world does business. For decades, Wayne has been building profitable solutions and strategic plans that elevate how these household brands operate in and out, and that’s a skillset that only comes by doing,” said Tim McCracken, Fortium Chairman and CEO. “The rigor and discipline Wayne brings to Fortium Partners are qualities that will benefit clients who want to use technology as a business driver. We’re so excited to have him on board.”

“As more and more C-suites incorporate technology into the overall business strategy, CIOs must quickly evolve to focus daily on the disciplines of execution, delivery, financial management and transparency in order to succeed. That’s no easy task with decades of legacy systems and behavior at play,” said Glaus. “The Fortium model allows highly experienced partners to offer businesses tangible guidance and problem resolution, with the backing of a collaborative firm. It’s gratifying to be part of this exclusive team of technology leaders.”

Wayne holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.
