Avant-Garde Retail CIO Joins Fortium Partners

Dallas, TX -- January 11, 2016 – FORTIUM PARTNERS, the world’s fastest-growing provider of IT turnaround and leadership services, announced today that leading-edge retail technology executive Susan Gang has joined the National Retail Practice of Fortium Partners. For more than 25 years, Gang has explored the interconnectedness of products, people, places and things, using her technology leadership expertise to drive businesses toward developing 360° omni-channel experiences.

Gang has worked with and consulted for some of the world’s most well-known retail brands, including Target, The Children’s Place and Citibank while with Tata Consultancy Services, plus Warner Brothers and AutoNation. Gang also served at Gap Inc. in multiple technology leadership roles including Division CIO, leading business and IT teams with a focus on product development and supply chain ROI. She was recently a consultant with JPMorgan Chase Intelligent Solutions, where she was the global services delivery manager and trusted advisor to executive leadership for Big Data and data monetization; she also helped source their Big Data talent. She was previously CIO for Schumacher Homes, where she created a business technology roadmap that modernized infrastructure, paved the way for business growth and integrated social media into daily business operations. She was also CIO for Cash4Gold.com where she developed a high-transaction platform to handle a Super Bowl ad campaign in less than three weeks. Gang also has led IT programs with Ziff Davis Media among others.

“The rise in consumer demand has prompted merchants to be technology friendly, but average retailers still aren’t savvy on where to invest or how to truly gain a holistic view of the customer,” said Tim McCracken, Fortium Chairman and CEO. “Many retailers could build more value with an influential guide like Susan because she understands the intricacies of Big Data and how to use it to increase revenue.”
“The retail industry was an early adopter to customer personalization and buying patterns, but now it’s so much more. Shrewd retailers are shifting to a holistic view, sharing data across business landscapes to gain a greater understanding of the consumer’s complete lifestyle,” said Gang. “Consumers are at the wheel, and the momentum toward mobile technology is shifting faster than I’ve ever seen. The National Retail Practice at Fortium sees what’s fast approaching, and I’m happy to join a team that’s at the forefront of retail technology.”
“Susan brings a tremendous reputation and body of work in both executive and consulting roles to our Retail Practice. Her outside-the-box experiences and focus enable her to deliver quick business impact and deploy solutions with built-in return on investment for our retail and customer-facing clients.” said Fortium’s National Retail Practice Leader Dave Manigold. “I’m excited about the ways she can deliver meaningful changes to clients seeking to improve how they make money and interact with consumers.”

Gang holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ohio University.
