Global Supply Chain Executive Joins Fortium Partners

Dallas, TX September 9, 2015 – FORTIUM PARTNERS, the world’s fastest-growing provider of IT turnaround and leadership services, announced today that visionary IT/global supply chain executive Gerald Gluscic has joined the Phoenix practice of Fortium Partners. Gluscic brings more than 30 years of information technology and supply chain innovation in the consumer product goods, mining and materials and restaurant industries.

Gluscic is a supply chain globetrotter, pioneering IT strategies across four continents that spur organization turnarounds and build performance businesses. He was the CIO for Newmont Mining Corporation, one of the world’s largest gold producers, and an industry leader in safety and sustainability. As CIO, he implemented IT strategies that saved $55 million and brought in procurement savings of $200 million. As CIO of Phelps Dodge, a $19 billion copper producer, he led technology projects that resulted in over $73 million in value creation and steered supply chain savings of $231 million over a three-year period.

“Gerald has an exceptional reputation for driving business performance and finding critical levers to unlock value,” said Tim McCracken, Fortium Chairman and CEO. “He’s an uncommon CIO who has led large supply chain organizations in two consecutive $15 billion companies, with responsibility for multi-billion dollar budgets. He can look at both IT and supply chain organizations of virtually any business and uncover value opportunities, which is so important in specialized industries like mining and restaurant, where cash flow and growth opportunities can be volatile.”

“Many organizations only focus on process and value creation when the business or markets are challenged,” said Gerald Gluscic. “I have always focused on implementing strategic and core business systems, and business intelligence solutions that drive process improvements. I’m honored to join the Fortium partnership because I’m surrounded by dynamic CIOs with complementary skillsets who know first-hand the vital importance of information governance, security and strategic planning to build a powerful technology infrastructure.”

Most recently, Gluscic served as CIO of PF Chang’s China Bistro, Inc. where he created and implemented a comprehensive infrastructure upgrade strategy. Earlier in his career, Gluscic served in high technology leadership roles with Swift Transportation, Borden Foods, Kellogg and General Electric. He holds a bachelor of science in business from Indiana State University.
