PHOENIX, AZ April 10, 2015 / - FORTIUM PARTNERS, the world’s fastest growing provider of IT Turnaround and Leadership Services, has announced that Larry Wolff, former Partner at Tatum LLC, becomes the latest addition to the firm's rapidly growing Phoenix office.
Larry Wolff was previously the CIO and Senior Vice President, Strategy Management for Universal Technical Institute, a $400 million leader in the for-profit education industry. He led an IT turnaround, improved the scalability of strategic systems to enable company growth, introduced predictive analytics, and facilitated a program to increase student enrollment by 23%.
Larry spent more than twelve years in IT leadership roles for the billion-dollar Reed Business Information division of Reed Elsevier, plc, including CIO, CTO and IT Strategy positions. During his tenure, Larry served on the Executive Committee that executed a 120-day turnaround to reduce costs by $70 million, providing investment funds for new business opportunities. He directed a 40% reduction in IT staff with more than $14 million of cost savings while measurably improving IT service levels. Larry leveraged technology and proven management practices to consistently improve profitability throughout his tenure. He successfully outsourced ERP systems, resulting in savings of $2 million annually while maintaining exceptional service levels. Additionally, he collaborated with three other Reed Elsevier business units in Europe to deploy a world-class global content management system and global CRM system. During his time with the Reed Elsevier group of companies, Larry also served as Chief Technology Officer of eLogic Corporation, a subsidiary of Reed Business Information, where he improved profitability by 40% in six months and Vice President, Information Technology of Cahners Travel Group, also a division of Reed Elsevier, where he led the joint-effort with Microsoft to create the original Expedia product.
Most recently, Larry Wolff was founder and President of Wolff Strategy Partners, a provider of interim executive and technology services. He has served as Interim CIO for industry leaders in oil and gas exploration, including IT turnarounds, global project rescues and integration of acquired companies.
