Value-focused Manufacturing CIO Joins Fortium Partners

Dallas, TX October 22, 2015 – FORTIUM PARTNERS, the world’s fastest-growing provider of IT turnaround and leadership services, announced today that John Jordan, renowned technology leader for manufacturers and home builders across the U.S., has joined the Atlanta practice of Fortium Partners. Jordan enjoys a reputation as a problem-solving CIO and technology architect who drives operational efficiencies that boost value for all types of organizations.

Jordan has a wide-ranging knowledge of business processes, IT standards and ERP systems that allows him to help clients assess and implement systems that support corporate growth. Before joining Fortium, Jordan was the senior IT management consultant for a $400 million national plastics manufacturer with 20 U.S. plants. There, Jordan eliminated the need for multiple daily inventory counts and saved warehouse labor costs, all while reducing IT errors by 25% and leading a 90% improvement in disaster recovery response time. Jordan also served for more than a decade as CIO of Avatar Properties, an $850 million homebuilder, where he saved the company millions by eliminating legacy systems, streamlining business processes, and implementing CRM, ERP and cloud-based systems.

“Certain industries learned some hard, fast lessons in the aftermath of the Great Recession, particularly our colleagues in manufacturing and real estate construction. Running an ultra-lean, efficient operation is now the only way to do business,” said Tim McCracken, Fortium Chairman and CEO. “John has advised many businesses on how to turn over every stone and find every operational efficiency available. If there’s money to be saved or a process to streamline, John is going to uncover it.”

“These days, businesses have so many options for saving time and money, whether that’s using cloud-based applications, moving to real-time inventory counts, standardizing ERP system processes across the organization or renting versus buying equipment,” said Jordan. “Businesses can now use less capital on hardware and staffing and more capital on business analysts to help grow revenue. Joining Fortium Partners will not only give me the opportunity to help more businesses navigate these issues, but I can also tap into the collective knowledge of my fellow partners for more ideas. It’s a win-win for me.”

“John is a natural fit for the Atlanta practice because his industry knowledge and technical expertise complement the types of manufacturing firms that are prominent throughout the Southeast,” said Richard Harris, Area Managing Partner. “We’re pleased to have someone of his caliber on board.”

Jordan has also held IT management positions at Oakwood Homes, Thompson Medical and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
