DALLAS, TEXAS October 7, 2014 / - FORTIUM PARTNERS, the world’s fastest growing provider of IT Turnaround and Leadership Services, announced today that Curtis Matthes has been named Partner in the firm’s Central region. Mr. Matthes joins Fortium from eVantage 21, an Oklahoma-based interim/fractional IT leadership and advisory services firm where he served as Managing Director for the past four years.

During his career, Mr. Matthes served as a Principal with the technology practice of Tatum LLC, and previously, as a seated CIO for several hospital and healthcare management companies. Curtis founded and leads ISLOK (Information Systems Leadership of Oklahoma) since 2001, a state-wide CIO forum consisting of Oklahoma’s largest private and public sector organizations. Curtis is also a board member of the Oklahoma HIMSS (Healthcare Information Management Systems Society) and CHIME (College of Healthcare Information Management Executives) member for over a decade. He is often called upon to speak, including Oklahoma Governor’s State CIO task force, on the challenges and strategies of technology leadership in today’s dynamically evolving world. Other positions held by Curtis include senior strategy consultant for Sun Microsystems, providing guidance to clients on developing strategies for breakthrough business advantages and spearheading the deployment of the world’s largest fingerprint system for the state of New York.

Tim McCracken, Chairman and CEO of Fortium Partners states: "Curtis Matthes brings a unique awareness of the needs of emerging companies in the mid-market space. His passionate involvement with the CIO organizations across Oklahoma allows us to keep our finger on the pulse of IT leaders as they struggle each day to compete in these difficult economic times.” This helps to keep Fortium “grounded” in knowing the problems the mid-market space faces are just as complex, and often more difficult to tackle given more limited resources. It helps remind us that our investment in helping mid-market companies brings value that is recognized and appreciated.
Curtis Matthes comments: "Mid-market companies across the region have great IT talent that is passionate to achieve great things, often with very limited budgets and limited access to advisory resources. Fortium has dedicated itself to granting mid-market companies access to the same experience and expertise it deploys to multi-billion-dollar entities around the world. I'm excited about joining the firm and being a part of making that connection.”

Curtis Matthes holds an MBA with Honors from the University of Central Oklahoma in Marketing Strategy, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from DeVry University.
